I've gone through Homestuck from beginning to... well, end of act 5 twice now (I started reading earlier this year and I did my epic reread a few days ago) and I swear I must be odd in the fact that I actually find the later acts harder to get through in spots (although that may be because everything from act 4 on is insanely text heavy and Troll typing quirks can be hard to parse) But yea, I've always rather liked the start. Then again, I kind of have a fondness for ridiculous nonsense.

And that music. The music is the best part and I keep having to tell myself that I can't afford to spend a boatload of money on buying it no matter how much I want to. Because, man, it's epic.

I'm not expecting something incredibly epic from this, I just finally want to be able to tell these stupid trolls apart XD
And I guess I like the beginning so far, it's just that the first few pages were HELL to get through to me. I'm really not into this... sort of gamer-humor thing. Or is it even gamer-humor? I don't know @__@

Honestly, after reading Problem Sleuth I came to realize that some of the early jokes are callbacks to that. Which is in its own way kind of gamer humor. But of the really old text adventure kind and all their bizarre quirks. But mostly, it's just weird.

You're right. I got about six pages in and had to stop. ;__; I'll pick it up again later this afternoon! I need to know and understand exactly what it is that I claim to NOT be a fan of. XD
