Toy Soldiers: Four Birthdays Snuffy Bradberry Remembered And One He Forgot (PG-13)

Mar 14, 2010 17:42

Summary: Your birthday is supposed to be happy. Sometimes. Maybe. Worth trying, anyway.
Notes: Written for my birthday mathom challenge, first of three, for irisbleufic's request of "a TS birthday celebration drabble, any of the guys' birthdays but Billy's or Joey's." Warning: partially post-canon.

Jonathan Bradberry's birthday is in October, which is after school starts but still early enough that they can do cool things. )

fandom: toy soldiers

(Joey read it. Somehow.)

Also, I can sympathize with the asthma. However. Dear. Mrs. Bradberry, just because you have asthma, does not mean you cannot play Frisbee.

The asthma came from my sister's description of what it feels like to have an attack. And the ice cream came from a similar incident when I was in first grade. I think my mother still has the ice cream maker in question, although we never did manage to make it work properly.

(He did. I'm not sure where I picked up the idea that burned letters go to the spirit world -- maybe from some museum exhibit on China, with those elaborate paper houses they build for the dead and then burn. But it seemed like something Snuffy would have heard about, too, and half-believe.)
