Since we already had a copy of Office and we can get the virus protection for free, we aren't buying computers with them already installed because it costs more.

Technically I am not supposed to install anything "unauthorized" on my computer, but now I have administrator privileges on my computer, so I have been able to freely install these things without having authorization.

I'll defend you by pointing out that while your actions may have been identical, those of the computer weren't necessarily. WHO KNOWS what was going on inside the silicon brain of your computer from one try to the next? It's like back in the day when Super Mario Brothers wouldn't work on the Nintendo so we'd pull it out and blow on it... six times, and eventually it would work.

Fortunately for Albert he never had to rely on a PC, or he may have altered his quip, "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over on a PC and expecting the same results."
