Give blood - please

We all know about the train wreck last week.  What I just found out today is that one of my sister's good friends was on that train and is currently fighting for his life in the hospital.  He has gone through 50 units of blood since he's been there and, although he has been upgraded from "critical" to "critical, but stable," he has a long way to go

You may have heard that the Red Cross is running low on blood.

They always are, and I'm not being sarcastic. I still have my pinprick from this past Saturday. :-)

Ouch!

I was hoping to have my circle emerge unscathed from the tragedy (you're the first to have a connection to a victim that I know of).

I believe I can donate again...they wouldn't take my blood for a year (two?) because I set foot outside of Cancun, Mexico.

I'm hoping your sis's bud makes it back to health.

I had no idea this tragedy had touched anyone I know, directly or indirectly -- I hope he's fully recovered soon...
