Normally you write the thesis. submit it, and then get people to read it before you present. Because my supervisor is on sabattical, and is back only for this week, I arranged to present it during this week before I submitted. So that was a bit of change. It might have been to my disadvantage because the work was not familiar to the readers and thus they were curious as to what was going on, but overall it was okay. Much cause for drinking beer and playing games later.
LOTS of questions. Apparently it was abnormally riddled with questions. According to one of my friends who attended he felt that it was somewhat rude of the readers to be interrupting so often. I didn't feel that it was much of a problem at the time. My supervisors said that it was all right in the sense that it was very interactive, which shows definite interest on behalf of the audience. I didn't feel overly pressured at any point in the presentation and managed to answer in a pretty relaxed manner.
So other than the fact that I was presenting for about an hour and forty minutes, it was pretty good.
TIME FOR A BREAK. Oh man. But then I have to get right into finishing my writing.
