It's significantly harder to update a web "story" on a consistent basis than it is to update a web comic; which I'm sure is a distinct blow against it when it comes to fanbase as it would be much harder to follow. I've seen a few of these about before, though.

In fact, I remember there was an online Phantasy Star 2 manga-ization that had awesome potential; but I think the author fell off the face of the earth. It was much harder to follow, though- as it was updated an issue at a time as opposed to a page.

And well, it died at issue 4 :\.

It's significantly harder ;_;.
