"You'll feel a pinch and then some mild discomfort." Yeah, that was hilarious. Last week I had an amniocentesis. The doctor was checking for some things that run through my family. You were a trooper. I'm not sure I could have handled a needle through the abdomen like you did and I'm glad you took the whole week off. You deserve it. Don't worry, you'll have the house done in time for Ava and most likely in time for the New Year's party you want to have. :)

I had to have my cervix stitched closed with my first pregnancy. They said "minor discomfort" they lied.

The real "discomfort" is coming though! So maybe it's all trying to get you used to giving birth? After Juliette was born, Sophia turned sideways and the doctor had to reach his hand up inside and grab her by the feet and pull her out... so that happens sometimes.

I'm relieved that there aren't any problems, myself.

As for pain tolerance, I am teaching you meditation before she comes, starting asap, to help with pain tolerance. Don't argue >.>
