Our neverending stair case story
Just a few "WIP" pictures ;-)
This is how it all looked before. Carpet and brown. Not nice.
Granted, this is already the status after we painted the walls and had carried out all the works upstairs, but you get the picture...
It was a clean dark greenish carpet when we bought the house.
The we removed the carpet and saw red/brown EVERYWHERE (this is already the status were we started working on the stair case). It looked much more horrible before.
And this is how it looks right now. We decided to paint some parts in white and the steps will keep their wooden look.
The fifth step from the top already has its final look. (Ignore the box at the bottom.)
The angle is strange!, but you can see where the white goes and which part will be oiled.
We are now in our first round of white and will paint it a 2nd time and then finish it with white laquer.
