Okay, a plot thing...just to have somewhere for later developing.
A story repeating itself, generation after generation. Almost like a fairy tale. A snarky gypsy storyteller, never aging, doomed to tell the story over and over. Another round of characters trapped in the cycle, but this time the characters decide to try and break the chain, fighting fate and maybe some ghosts. The ghosts that keep the story moving.
The first victim responsible for murder, possibly thinking they were destroying the ghosts or acting out a piece. The second victim, the authority charged to bring the murderer in.
The ghosts want the story repeated, so everyone will remember them. That way they won't have to pass on completely. The storyteller is cursed for her involvement in the original tale, cursed to live as long as the story continues.
-facepalm- Who the hell knows. But it's all I've got after 3 hours...v_v
Karu says:
that could work...keeping the story going keeps them from passing on completely...
Neves says:
-nodnod- Like a literal version of the belief that nobody ever really dies if they keep being talked about.
Karu says:
they want to live on through memory, an' the best way is to have history repeat itself, creating a legend or something...
Neves says:
-nodnod-
An' over time, their desperation increases and increases...
Neves says:
Exactly. :3
Hmm... how long do ya think the cycle has been going on?
Karu says:
i'd say at least since the rennesaince...since the storyteller is a gypsy an' my mind went to notre dame
Neves says:
Oho...
So... a good 500 or so years. Hm. That'd send the ghosts a little loopy, I s'pose...
Karu says:
sort of...i think the story starts with murder...somehow. the characters in this particular case are some random person who the story made murder, an' the cop/detective put in charge of bringing them in...
Neves says:
Oho...
The detective needs a quirk, methinks. :3
Karu says:
hm...maybe something that would make them a candidate to be in the story...?
Neves says:
-nodnod- Sounds good... but what would that be?
Karu says:
well...tragic past is a little cliche. it'd be better if he was mostly normal, with just a weird quirk or two.
Neves says:
Hmm...
Personality-wise, or... life-wise?
Karu says:
maybe he'll tell jokes to break up serious moments. XD not really relating to the story, but it'd be fun
Neves says:
Oho... now that's a good trait. -ponder- Any particular ones? For some reason I'm thinking of bad puns, or CSI Miami-style one-liners. xD
Karu says:
xD maybe one or two like that
