Hokay, first and foremost, the most IMPORTANT thing to say as the first post in my LJ of the new year:
Happy 17th Birthday SamiKei!!!
And now, I shall reflect upon the past year.
1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
SATS (twice), won a medal (x4), won a trophy (x2), became a thespian, made the school play, got into college, decorated a door for Christmas (and won), gone to Homecoming, completely wasted a summer vacation on Neopets, tried to donate blood, got my highest karate belt up to date-- navy, ENJOYED going in Hot Topic, drank entire alcoholic beverages and felt GOOD about it, cried over a boy, got over my homophobia (for the most part), liked a 47 year old, danced with over 5 Filipinos at one time, got over my fear of horror movies, sang in front of people and didn't die, took TA, got a B+ in CPR, read more freaking books than EVER.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't even remember my New Years Resolutions, if I even make them. I remember Grandmaster talking about his resolution to "be happy" last year, but I don't think he stuck to it. He's a grumpy guy. But as for me, I don't think I'll be making another Resolution-- or at least one I can't keep. I suppose I'll say it's just to get good grades in college.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Hmm... Well a lot of people got themselves pregnant. But I don't think so.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
Bahamas.
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
Friends lol. Actually, hmm... a boyfriend would be nice, haha. I'm collaborating on a Webcomic soon, so I would like for that to work out. Hmm, acceptance of others would be beneficial.
7. What date(s) from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
June 23, my birthday, passed my driving test with flying colors.
May 24, I think, prom, actually a night I'd like to forget.
Hell I'm not too good with dates and crap anyway...
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting into college, and actually dealing with it, and getting accepted on the spot. Also passing all of those belt tests and getting those medals and trophies in the tournamants.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not being good enough to be a mascot, and trying to find love in all the wrong places.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yes, dislocated my knee and broke my ankle. Oh boy, it's almost been a year now and... it'll never be better, will it?
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My South t-shirts X3
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Sami P, Sara S, and Norden, because I'm starting to get to know them, and having friends is a good thing =D haha I'm such a dork. But still, I'm glad I got to know you guys better. And Monica, because you're starting to seem cheerier-- for a while there I was really worried about you =(
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Bah. A lot of people are appalling here.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Earrings. And books.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Theater arts class. Every freaking day. I SO look forward to that class. And being Class Artist, that totally made my year.
16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
"Ultrasex" MSI
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier
ii. thinner or fatter? The same I think.
iii. richer or poorer? The same... again. Seeing as I've never had a job.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Homework, karate, DDRing, anything requiring effort.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Wasting my life of the computer.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent is the same as every year, with family, doing crazy stuff to my cousin Mikey, and opening presents... not necessarily in that order. But it was all done without an advent calendar. Or church.
(was there a 21?)
22. Did you ...fall in love in 2004?
I came close.
23. How many ...one-night stands?
Yeah right. I'm a playa', uh huh.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
OMFG DRAWN TOGETHER. THAT I ONLY SAW 3 EPISODES OF.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope. At least I don't think so.
26. What was the best book you read?
Well, if you count Beowulf and Grendel and Hamlet, even though I didn't REALLY read them, I'll say Grendel. Cause it spawned Super!Unferth.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Re-Discovering Monica's CD of computer music, which led to MSI, HIM, and all my new <3 goth rock.
28. What did you want and get?
I wanted to be Super Maroon. I got "Miss Spirit" instead.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
I didn't see that much. Probably Darkness, which I saw 2 days ago, for the sheer fact that Shaunna got us in free <333
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
17-- I PASSED my driving test. WELL. And I PERFECTLY parallel parked. I mean, the instructor probably couldn't have done better. It was like... MUSIC. Best thing ever. Not that I drive, though.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Lack of homophobia. Or a boyfriend.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
Nothing beats a South T-shirt.
34. What kept you sane?
Music and Brooke.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Xandir. Cause he's teh shit.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
I don't give a damn about politics anyway XD; Probably the election of Superlatives hahaha.
37. Who did you miss?
Dannio-- who I SAW for the first time in like 4 years at the begining of the school year <33333333
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Norden, because she was COMPLETELY not what I expected-- in a good way. And June, for the same reason.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
Life's too short to spend it being upset.
Just go out there and give it your all.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"I've been denied all the best Ultrasex" HAHAHAHA
Wow. Writing crap like that takes all the enthusiasm out of you. I'm over and out.
