2002. That's like the middle ages in Internet Time. My own eljay is in year six; getting a bit long in the tooth itself.
It's a shame that everything is in type instead of handwritten. When I look back over my old handwritten journals, I can sense the difference in the self that wrote that vs. the self reading it, but it's harder to do that with my livejournal I think.
It's weird to think of us still maintaining these journals in 10 years, or even five. Can you imagine being 40 with a livejournal?
Then again, it'd be interesting for our children. "Look what Ma was doing in 2006! Attending a bible expo. She rocks." Because of course, our children will be fully fluent in Documentary Theories of the Bible and will refer to the KJV derisively.
