My Madeline was always "Madeline" until about age 9. At that point, all the girls in school decided that "Maddy" was the way to go. Now that she's almost 13, it's a tossup. We use "Mads" occasionally, too.
Olivia's middle name is "Rose", so that figures heavily into it. I call her "Leelee Rose" a lot, because that's how she used to say her own name. (Strangely, she called me "Mimi" instead of "Daddy" until she was well past 2.) "Rosie-rose" is also good, or just "Leelee", or even "Reeree-rose" if we're being silly.
You know as a joke, Kingston called me "Mar" for my Sr year on CLC Improv, just because of this debacle. I think I really liked it until I realized how campy it was. So Marina it is, from here til eternity I suppose...
