I heard Prop 8 got overturned on the radio and might have flailed excitedly a little bit.

However, despite Prop 8 being overturned, and previous marriages now being recognized again, the state isn't allowing any new, same-sex, marriages for the time being. Prop 8 supporters in court asked that the judge put a stay on any new same same-sex marriages, even if he overturned Prop 8, at least until they can go through the appeals process. The judge allowed that, and Prop 8 supporters are appealing. It may be a little bit before gay couples are actually actively allowed to marry in California.

So it's a win, but not a full win. Now we just hope Prop 8 is overturned again when they appeal, and it dies there, otherwise it might be a long time.
