The insulin pump

What a day.  I had to take off of work today to spend the day with Michael at the doctor's office.  We went in for his insulin pump instalation, I guess you can call it that.  I figured it would be an in/out process.  I was soooooo wrong.  We arrived at 8:00 and did not get to leave until 3:00.  They instaled the little piece/showed us how to put ( Read more... )

I know the the pump has really helped Kelly (my nail guru) out a lot. She used to have all sorts of issues with her diabetes and it has really helped level out the problems she had with her sugar levels. I think I recall hers being high at first too until she was able to figure out things.

Sounds like a HUGE headache for you regarding carbs but hopefully it becomes second nature and enables you guys to have a better chance of growing old together!!! :)

Those are the same fears my mother had with my dad, although he had type 2 diabetes. I have a good feeling about the pump. From what I hear/seen, it is going to be a whole new world for him. I think he will do well with it, especially if he maintains a healthy lifesyle. :)
