I think I've lost my enthusiasm for school. How do I get it back, guys?  What spell will bring it all into focus for me? What can I do? What?

life, school

...Considering I'm probably at fault, I don't think I can help. :( I'm sorry, I really am. I didn't mean to screw it up. >.< It'll get better. I love you.

I really tried hard not to laugh at the way you phrased this, but it's true.

Mel, we all love you. You know that. But miunafiel has a point. The way I get over my burnout every time is to take a break. *hugs* I thought I'd never want to go back to school if I left, but I started missing it. It happens. Trust me. Even if the break's just for a summer.

Ugh, I've been skimming that a bit myself, if just (I think/hope) for midterm week. But maybe if you have a slightly lighter class schedule, it would be less crazy? Just a thought. But you take summers off, right? Because that's several months to slack off and miss an intellectual challenge. Personally, I start missing bloody papers by the middle of June :P

*hugs*

When I'm feeling down about work and stuff, I just think about what else I would be doing right then if I'd never come to uni - realistically. I mean, it's easy to dream of travel and all that, but really, I'd probably be stuck in a job somewhere, wouldn't know half the amazing friends I've made at uni, and wouldn't be on track to learn a whole new set of dead languages next year. Then, I think about where this studying is going to LEAD me - further study, maybe even further than I'm imagining if it goes well, at least an extra couple of years in the city with the people I love. Then, better prospects getting a job, when the recession has hopefully quietened down a bit. Maybe even working in America.

That's what works for me. But then, you have crazy workload.
