Oh dear...those "propaganda" posters were rather, erm - yes, I think off-putting is exactly the right phrase. :P I think I'll stick with my very safe single-player Morrowind, lol. I don't do well in groups.

Me either - and I still have the attitude of "I play games to *get away* from humans, tyvm!"

That's likely going to be an issue - guilds seem to be demanding of time and commitment - things I'm not so good with even if I weren't overloaded.

But I figure there's a lot here for me to learn, not least of all socially, so I'll give it a good shot...

I missed out on tabletop gaming - probably due to my deep ambivalence about my geekhood. Somehow I never knew there *were* other geeks...

I'd actually love to give it a try, but that might have to, like having the kind of life I want in general, wait on moving out of AZ and to somewhere with a critical mass of interesting people.

How's the move been for you? It's been so long since we caught up...
