Hiya-
Yeah, it sure is tough the first month. You are doing your best which is all anyone can ask for, and Jackson is being fed which is the most important thing. Let us know how his appointment goes today!

Thanks Kim!
I keep hearing the 1st month is the hardest so I'm hoping to get through it. I've been feeling more confident with him as the days go by so that's a good thing :-)

Like Kim said you are doing the best you can. I fed hayden formula and he has turned out to be a wonderful child. He never got sick or anything.
I know how you feel about your husband leaving for work. It totally sucks. I am glad your MIL can help you. I have crying fits too over nothing.
We have our 2 week appointment also. I am sure jackson's ears are fine.
Cheer up. :) You always have us.

Thanks for the support :-)

I'm getting over my BFing hysteria :-) I'm feeling better about the Formula feeding. He's a healthy, happy, boy so I can't ask for anything more than that....

DH is coming home early! He was supposed to be home Monday but he switched his flight and will be back Saturday!!! I'm super happy about that as he can spend the weekend with us.

Hope Emma's Dr's appt went well

I'm sorry to hear that you've had a few rough days but I'm sure things are only going to get better. Can you treat yourself to a quick spa treatment or something while MIL is in town?

From what I read crying fits happen to a lot of woman so don't feel odd about sharing it. We all know how much you adore and love Jackson but def. get it checked out of it continues for too long.

If you really want to BF maybe you can give it another shot. Bring in specialist and see if they can help you out. I'm sure it's not too late. I once read of someone being able to BF after not having done it for three weeks. But there is nothing wrong with not doing it and Jackson is still going to be a champ. There are formula fed kids all over the place doing just fine but I know it meant a lot to you. Hugs!

Cheer up! We are all thinking of you.

Rebecca

Your too funny! I treated myself to a Mani/Pedi and Leg Massage a few days ago! One word: Heaven!

I've been without crying for 3 days now which is good - making progress here. I'm also feeling a little more confident with Jackson so that helps too!

Was thinking of calling a LC but I think I'm finally letting the BF thing go. He's been Ok on the formula and since he's growing/gaining weight I can't complain. Thanks for the support :-)

Hope your doing well!!!

Big hug coming. Please don't be so hard on yourself, you're doing a GREAT job! It is totally NORMAL to feel overwhelmed, this is a HUGE transition!!!! I am glad your MIL will be there, hopefully you'll be able to get a little R & R.
RE: the breastfeeding, ITA with Rebecca to call in an LC if you so choose, they might be able to help. And if not, don't beat yourself up about it, formula is fine too! And remember, despite all of the battles re: FF v. BF and all that nonsense, in the end, IT'S JUST FOOD. He will love you unconditionally, regardless of whether his food comes from a bottle or from a boob! Hope his appt. goes well!

Thanks for that HUG :-) and the encouragement.

Things are slowly getting better. Jackson's taking to the formula and it's not bothering him so I should be happy about that. Your right in the end it's just FOOD and that's what he needs for growth/development.

Have been getting more R&R since MIL arrived and it has HELPED!!!!

I hope today is looking up and the doctor's appointment went well. I'm sorry to hear about the struggles these past few weeks, I can only imagine it is tough with your husband gone and trying to adjust to a new baby.

Sending positive vibes your way!
