I have been told Daydream can take me in 2 weeks (they can't wait any longer) or Hamilton i will have to wait "at least" 3 months due to the high number of staff there and the slow season approaching

i'm in contract and lease - so leaving in 2 weeks could piss a few people off - but maybe i should grab the opportunity while it's there

My first thought would be: try another island!

However;
lease -- keep paying your rent until you find someone to move in (you won't have rent on the island will you??)

stuff the job, she hasn't been supportive of anything you've wanted to do.
You can get credit for the flights (or still fly from one of the islands to brisbane).
