Lost in translation...eww...that's not what I mean

Am I really the only person out there who thinks that my jokes are funny? This makes me think of the time when I wrote a comedy for my screen writing class and after we've finished reading it my teacher, full of emotion says, "wow, what a touching drama!" My only hope is that I am not translating well into English...
