This is kind of odd, but I've been pondering falling off the balcony in my apartment lately. It would be purely an accident. By no means am I having suicidal tendencies. Although, it is quite coincidental, being that I am in Seattle

Unfortunately, the arboretum bridge which is being leaped from in those pictures has become less jumpable due to the water level - Mitchell and I just jumped there about three weeks ago. When I went with my floor in May, it was quite deep. Upon my return, however, Mitchell and I discovered that the water had lowered quite a bit and we were now jumping 35 feet into literally 5 feet of water on top of 5 feet of mud. It was a rather painful and potentially dangerous experience that tells me I probably won't be jumping there until late springtime again. As for the Fremont Bridge, I know people who have done it, and the water is certainly deep enough, but the fall is about 40-45 feet which means that if you hit the water wrong, it can seriously mess you up. I've decided to waylay this jump until I at least have some sort of health insurance, because if I broke an arm hitting the water (which one kid on my floor happened to do), it would pretty much financially ruin me. In short, it's good to make smart decisions

And as for Seattle -- will you be there next week? (probably next Wednesday and Thursday) ???
Because I will stay in Portland OR with my wonderful friend Jamie, and was thinking of coming down to Seattle for two days. Do you think I could finally meet you (and maybe Alex) and get coffee? I'd be stoked!
I'm not sure if Alec will be back yet, but I'm in Seattle until at least the end of the month. It would be a delight to finally meet. If you let me know your scheduling, we could almost certainly organize something.
Yeah, so, I'll arrive in Seattle thursday morning... late morning... probably even noonish... I don't know the exact time yet, but if you give me your cellphone number, I can call you as soon as I know. I am excited! :)
Just a forewarning: There is the possibility of me having a job by that time and limiting my schedule. But I'm sure we'll be able to swing something, regardless.
