Being 31, I would have to confess to finding it bloody embarrassing having to hunt around for pennies on the floor so that I can buy milk.

It's also rather embarrassing having your phone and broadband cut off. I need the interbets.

In other news, should I repaint my living room floorboards? Or should I save up and have them stripped properly? What

i frequently have to scrounge up the pennies to pay for stuff. and borrow off my kids. how much does that suck!

my floor boards are just left as is. they get filthy from the constant going back and forth and i refuse to pay out any money on anything that's just going to get ruined again. when i no longer have small kids, puppies, dogs, men in construction, then, and only then, will i buy anything nice. including floorboards. !!

stripped would be nice as I'm guessing with paint you might have to retouch now and again but then not sure what is cheaper x

Agreed! Stripped floors sound mad expensive, whereas paint is cheap and makes things cheery. Paint can always be stripped later when you become rich again. Which will happen. Or won't, but no need to feel bad about it. We are all broke. Some of us have to live with our parents. :)
