Spoof the Spoof ^.~
Please note that this small essay is not to provoke the spoofs or take revenge on them in anyway. I just would've felt bad for with holding information that was so conveniently dropped in my lap :) And do understand that criticism, no matter how brutal, gut wrenching, or full of fluffy goodness that it's oozing, is always a good critic.Hello there, you're probably here because you were featured in a Spoof journal, more commonly known as blacklightprose and you might be thinking :
Don't worry you're not the only one, I too was spoofed and tagged in their journal numerous times, because of something they referred to as me daring ('.'?) them, but have since moved on.
However my friend, unite_the_music, I guess decided to look into these supposide 'Spoofs' and came up with some interesting info. She told me the Spoofs had linked their spoof journal with their real journals. One of their usernames looked familiar, but honestly, who could tell? I chopped it up to deja vu.
That is until unite_the_music investigated further and found out more info that we think might be of some interest to their victims.
It sure as hell peaked my interest enough for me to go investigate, a little. So basically unite_the_music dumped the info into my
inbox when she felt she was done, and told me to do with as i wish. I would've felt bad if I had this info and kept it from everyone. Anyways the info presented was basically this:
One of the ladies over at blacklightprose entered a contest in the kyoxtoshiya community with her real or fanfic journal, _ice_lady_ , and when she didn't win or even place she spoke of the winnig/placing fics with venom.
Now this is where I guess you can say it gets interesting

You see, I too, entered the same exact contest and I will come out and say it, my fic was bad. B-A-D Bad But lets let _ice_lady_tell you that.
It was my first fic I ever wrote and my first attempt at yoai. To save you guys the trouble of going and looking at my archive, here's a screen shot of the header.
Never mind the fact that the day I posted it I said it was my first attemp, right?
But ya know, it was posted a few hours before she wrote about how bad it was, oh, did I mention it was the first one posted for the contest?
Yeah, insecure much!?
I wouldn't put it past her if she did the same to the other contestants, because she sounds a little ,
Anyways . . .
The prizes were:
1st palce - Dir En Grey's Lotus CD
2nd place - The MODs will make you a layout of your choosing
3rd place - Some limited edition Dir En Grey stickers
And what did she do when she didn't win/place?
She left this nasty comments for the winners, MODs, participators, and communtiy members:
Never mind the fact she was 27 at the time, right?
However I would like to point out she did say she wasn't surprised and was replied by a MOD that told her she was actually tied for fourth, then she left the above comment, and that was the last of her in that community.
Then suddenly this 'Spoof journal' decided to become active.
And when I myself was spoofed, yes curiosity grabbed ahold of me and I ventured down their entiries to read their first spoof.
And darn it if the poor victims names wasn't familiar.
She was the one whom entered and won the contest above.
Hmmm, what better way to get back at the person, who met the contest criteria better than her?
But to seem inconspicuous about it she spoofed a different entry.
So just encase you got lost somewhere, because it was all a little scattered, I shall sum it up.
_ice_lady_entered a contest in hopes to win, or in her comments case, to see if the community was 'Batshit'.
She lost.
Obviously she was a little peeved and or jealous about it, so she decided to finally use the spoof journal her and her friend, sphinxofthenile (24 yrs old) made, aka blacklightprose , and together, I'm assuming, maybe not, _ice_lady_ and sphinxofthenile , picked apart all the things she or they thought was wrong with another fic written by the winner. Then just continued on theirself brewed rampage to attack or what they call help to improve others through 'constructive criticism'.
And what tied this altogether?

But I would like to note that at the time when I personally discovered the linked journals, it had been a very long time since I had troubled myself with a visit over to them, so the time stamp on their post is dated back about a month.
Now all that being said, I did apologize for some of the stuff I said to her or them, I'm not sure I think I was talking to only one of them, _ice_lady_ , while arguing with her or them over my fics she or they spoofed and I would like to let her or them know, because I'm sure in some way she or they have found this, that my apology still stands. Though I think they're probably very pissed or laughing their ass's off, either of which I don't really care. But unite_the_music and I felt the victims on the spoof journal might like to know how, at times, the spoofs on this particular journal can be a little grudgy.
But please note they do have a few entries where they haven't spoofed anybody, but has posted facts, and helpful information, of which I do encourage you to check out.

So no they're not bitter, horrid people like you thought .

Like I said it's open to your interpretation.
They're actually nice and full of helpful information, though that too, is open to interpretation.
So there you have it, I hope in some way this has eased some kind of tension or hatred built up towards them, or in some way made you laugh. And to blacklightprose themselves I can't help, but try and shake the feeling that if the roles were reversed, and I had spoofed you guys, then you were presented with interesting info such as this, that you would be doing the same thing.
Posting it so everyone can view.
Because in personal opinion, which is arguable, it's kinda embarrassing.
And there you go, feel free to attack this, rip it apart, drag it through the mud, or fling it against the wall and threaten it.
