Sora/Riku/Kairi, possibly one of seven. Since there are at least two others and they all fit into Sins themes. PG/worksafe, 555 words. Needs a better title. >.>

"Roxas," Sora hissed into the darkness, wondering how one went about waking up one's other half. Experimentally, he poked himself in the side of the head. "Roxas!"

A sense of annoyance. What? It's the middle of the night, Sora.

"This is important." Sora had never managed to master the art of talking without words; all that ever seemed to happen was a headache from squinting cross-eyed, and the sensation of Roxas rolling his eyes at him. "Really important."

Something that might have been a sigh. Well, go on then.

"…um." Sora fidgeted, suddenly tongue-tied. There was an ominous silence from within, and he flailed hastily for words before Roxas could decide it wasn't worth it and go away again. "It's. Um. …Kairi?"

The ominous silence didn't falter. Sora was wincing by the time Roxas finally said, You woke me up to talk about girls.

"Not really? Um" Sora yanked a pillow over his face, wondering if people could spontaneously combust. "Riku, too."

Well, so? Roxas sounded more resigned than surprised. What are you asking me for? You're the one with the heart.

"How am I supposed to pick?" At least with his face buried in the pillow, it came out muffled. "And you do too have a heart."

Yeah, yours. Something that felt like a shrug. Why do you have to pick, anyway?
Sora frowned. "But I like both of them."

They're your best friends.

"No, I mean." Sora fidgeted. "Well, yeah, but - I like both of them."

I know, Sora. Your heart, remember?

"Oh. So how am I supposed to choose?" It was like trying to decide between water and air, Sora thought; how were you supposed to go without either?

Who says you have to? Roxas sounded both sleepy and disinterested, the exact same way he always did when Sora asked - begged - him for help with homework.

"But -" Sora frowned, trying to turn that around into a shape that fit. Roxas was better than him at the logic stuff his teachers liked. Sora just tended to go with his instincts. "Huh?"

Roxas had more patience, too. So you like both of them. So what?

"You mean -" Sora's mind, or at least he hoped it was his mind, presented him with an image of Kairi and Riku, in -

"Oh." And he really hoped it wasn't Roxas who modified the picture to include him, because -

"Oh." It was definitely his body that was reacting, though. Sora pulled the pillow tighter over his face, trying to stifle the furious blush.

Finally. Roxas was already starting to fade back into his mind. Now can I sleep?

"But -" Sora pulled the pillow off hastily; he'd have jammed it into his lap if it'd have made the slightest bit of difference. "That - um, I don't think that's allowed. Is it?" He tried to push the mental image away, but it kept coming back.

An impatient, sleepy sigh. Who's going to argue with three Keyblade Masters? And then Roxas was gone, back to wherever it was he went when he wasn't watching the world from behind Sora's eyes. Which left Sora alone in the dark with his confusion, and that very interesting mental picture that didn't want to leave him alone.

He had to admit that Roxas had a point. Eventually.
