I know Disney is expensive, I've gone every other year nearly for all my life. My opinion would be start now saving even if it's 10 dollars a week for approx a year or two.
My mom took me when I was 2 years old and she said she'd never take someone that little again. It's too much walking, to much pushing, and they don't remember it.
Disney is about the experience, about the souvenirs, about staying at one of the park resorts. unless you plan on coming back in the nearer future, go to disney without thinking your going to skimp out on anything.
The boys have quite a few gift cards already for Disney toys/souviners...ect. We get military discount on everything except flights. The hotel we picked is on Disney property and is 40% off. We get 4 day hopper passes for $177 each instead of the insane price the parks charge. I added on a dining plan (for a discounted rate b/c of the time of year we're going) and character dinner for Declan (Kason won't go).
3 families we're friends with are all going this year and their cost is almost double ours before spending money for the same hotel (actually one of them is staying at a lesser level hotel).
Your right. We SHOULD be saving for it & we have a few ideas in mind on how to do that between now and when we go so its not AS much on the credit cards. BUT like I said---nothing is booked 100% yet. We have 2 weeks to decide and are talking to family...ect!
Oh Leah, I would never throw that in your face. If you think you can do it and it's the right time, then do it! <3
I really need to see Six Feet Under! I've always wanted to!
I enjoyed Dexter a lot, but the last season...UGH. I hated the ending. It was excellent before that though, lol. My favorite shows are probably Once Upon a Time, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Parks and Recreation, Supernatural, Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy (although I feel this one just needs to END already), Vampire Diaries...I could just go on and on. I love TV! XD

GO!
I've herd from so many people lately who are living like modest nuns and not living because there to afraid of debt.
The boys are only going to be young once so if your OK with the added debt go in enjoy your family!
