that's crap. i've never had a drive totaly crash on me EVER. i still have drives from the early '90s buzzing around on my NAT/router box. luck of the draw i guess.
Lucky! It's usually my c: that eventually gives out after a few years because it never gets a break. The computers run 24/7 and they're always sending/receiving. When they're about to give out, I can usually hear them constantly spin up/down for no reason and maybe even a clicking sound. That means start backing up asa mofo p :p
