Valle Legacy 1.1 part 1
Yo. So this update is in two parts because I felt like the content I had was too big for one, but too small for two individual chapters. The next part should be up sometime later today/tomorrow depending on how long it takes me to finish editing on part 2.
What happened last time: Our founder Ramona Valle explored college and manage to find a guy by the name of Derek Khan who overlooked the fact that was a socially awkward hipster. The two parted ways at the end of term, though Ramona had already decided she wasn't going to return for a second term. Will they meet again? You tell me.
For the first time since she was a child, Ramona returned to the town her grandparents spent their whole lives: Glendalough. She would have preferred a bustling urban metropolis such as Bridgeport, but given she had little to no money, she was forced to move into the little house her grandfather left when he passed away.

Though Ramona wasn't completely alone. Glendalough was small town filled with old families that had a strong sense of community. When they heard a Valle was returning they promptly came to welcome Ramona
Ramona: Thanks again for helping me move in! I can't believe how welcoming everyone was!
Winne: Don't be silly, most of the people here were good friends with your grandparents. It was the least we could do! So you just got out of college, huh? How was it?
Ramona: Oh yeah, it was great!
Ramona: Well...except...this guy. Well. I don't think I'm going to see him again...I don't know.
Winne: Oh how sad! Though, in this day and age it's easy to find anyone online.
Ramona: Well, we have each other's numbers...but I don't know. It was more of a college fling. He wants to continue his degree and I don't...it's complicated.
The truth was that Ramona didn't even know if she'd see Derek again. They couldn't stay together in college forever, and Ramona didn't have enough money to continue her degree even if she wanted to. Were they serious enough to set down permanent roots together? She had her doubts.
She wanted to call him, but just thinking about the situation created a knot in her stomach. Painting was a form of escapism. Her house was a bubble in which time stood still if she simply avoided the thought of them.

No one is surprised. Except maybe Ramona.
Derek: Ramona! I'm so glad it's you! It would have been embarrassing if I had just walked in it hadn't been your house!
I never noticed that sims don't actually open doors. Only took me 3 games.
Ramona: Derek!? What are you doing here? What are you...how did you even know where I was?
Derek: Funny story! I was visiting my friend Winne Harp when I started to tell her about this girl I met at college.
Derek: Then she said "Wow, the girl who just moved in up the street had the exact same thing happen to her!" I just about choked on my food when she told me it was you. I thought you'd call me before now, but I just assumed you were busy.
Derek: I guess you have been, huh? This place looks great!
Ramona: Yeah...thanks..
She felt both nervous and ashamed. How long had it been now? 2 months? 3 months? She hadn't bothered to call, and wasn't sure if she ever planned to. But here he was, the thought she had been avoiding the entire summer in the flesh.
Derek: And you grew your hair out, huh? Or did you just not bother to get it cut?
His touch startled her, but in a good way. She suddenly became aware of how dearly she missed him.
Ramona: A little of both...-chuckle
In those moments she forgot why she had avoided the thought of Derek Khan. All she could think of was how she wanted him close to her.
They spent the remaining few weeks before Derek had to go back to school together in bliss.
That face. Gardening must really excite her.

But when she was alone it all came rushing back to her.
How long do we have left? she'd think Am I just making this harder on myself by putting off the inevitable?
Ramona: Take that!
Derek: Oh yeah? Well take this!
Ramona: You--You can't do that! You can't hit me!
Derek: -chuckles nervously- What, seriously? Ramona, you hit me. I didn't think you'd react like this.
Tell us how you really feel.
Derek: Fine...just..I'll leave you alone...
As soon as he left, she popped.
Ramona: Shit...
As she stood there she wondered if she should even tell him. She could break it off now, and he'd never have to feel like she was trying to suck him into staying. No, she thought He has a right to know. Even if he doesn't stay, he should know.
Ramona: Derek...can we talk?
Derek: yeah, just one sec. I'm just submitting my paperwork for the new term.
Right, school she thought He can't be having a baby while trying to finish his degree
But she stood firm on the belief that he deserved to know.
Derek: Look Ramona, I'm really sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to hurt you.
Ramona: No that's--it's fine. I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me. I just...I have something I need to tell you...
Ramona: I'm kinda...well...I'm pregnant...
Uh-oh. This is when I learned Derek dislikes children. :c
He became lost in thought suddenly, processing what Ramona had said and how he felt about it.
Ramona: D-derek?
Worse than reacting negatively, he didn't react at all. She felt more anxious than before.
Derek: I'm sorry Ramona...I just...a baby...wow...I'm just a little speechless.
Derek: But we'll figure it out, ok?
Derek: It'll be ok.
Ramona: If you say so...
She didn't feel reassured in the slightest. We'll figure it out? What does that even mean? she wondered anxiously Is he leaving or staying?
Derek moved in! Here is his CAS photo and traits. Good to know that if we ever get a Burglar that Derek will beat him up while Ramona snores away.
This whole sleeping-with-your-eyes-open thing is heavily unsettling Quinton.
She dreamed of her future child the following night. Not only of it, but them. The three of them. They joy it brought her was immediately followed by guilt. She, more than anything, didn't want Derek to be guilted into staying. But wasn't this an all-too-convenient solution to the predicament she found herself in before? Was she unconsciously forcing him to stay?
The next morning Derek approached her with his decision
Derek: I've decided to not continue with my degree so I can stay with you and our child.
Derek: But there is one thing I have to ask...and I feel selfish for it, especially since you just got settled, but I want to move to my hometown of Twinbrook. I have connections there that I think will really help with my career.
Ramona didn't object. Though the people in Glendalough tried to welcome her as best they could, in the end it didn't really feel like her town. It was her grandparent's town.
Ramona: Of course that's fine. But...are you sure? You don't have to, you know...
Derek: I never pictured myself as a father, honestly. When you told me I thought about it a lot, I could hardly sleep. You know what kept coming to mind? My father, or should I say my absent father.
Derek: I refuse to let my kid feel the way I felt about my father. To wonder why his father didn't even care enough to visit even once, to wisha single happy birthday, to see if he's even just ok. I'm not going to let you do this alone, Ramona.
And so a family began on that day.

She actually ended up having the baby in the bathroom. I was waiting for Derek to take the hospital, but I guess dislikes children= inconsiderate jerkhole. oh well lol
But I'm kind of concerned for that baby...
