No word on the computer. There never will be I'm afraid. :( I have a new computer, but I don't know if I'll want to take the risk again of bringing it all the way up there with me. I can still run an AMV panel, but it wouldn't be a 'workshop' as I've done before. However, I'm likely to change how I feel about things, as time goes on.
Well, the panel you ran two years ago at Yaoi-Con 2002 is still the most informative panel of any kind I've ever attended in 10+ years of sci-fi/anime con-going, so even without a working demo, the message can come across. I still consult the notes I took during that panel when I'm having render or capture problems, and the many of the theories behind good vidding (storytelling especially) brought up in that panel have greatly influenced my vidding. I'd wanted to come to the workshop this year just in hopes of that kind of discussion coming up, since I don't have a need for a tutorial at this point in time.
Whichever you decide next year, I'll be there (barring scheduling conflicts).
;_; I swear that if I go to the US in 06, this will be the one con I absolutely must attend!! I don't care what else I have going on at the time, if I'm in the country...I will move mountains to go to it! *sigh* Yaoi con looks like soooo much fun, I wish I could be there and get to meet all you guys. Here's hoping I'll have at least 2 suitable costumes by 2006. I already have Omi ^^ and should have Glühen Ken by then too *crosses fingers*
Congrats on the AMV awards...I've said it before and I'll say it again. WTF/C&C AMVs ROCK and I love them all to pieces! (I'm trying to sneak some in to show at our next anime club marathon, since we normally show AMVs during the lunch break...the Weiß and YnM ones may be a little too suggestinve to pass notice, but I'll definately try to show C&C's Evangelion one. Hope you guys don't mind?)
