Not the show, the fanfiction. Or fandom, if you prefer. All non-fangirl/boy (and non-interested) parties, plese skip this and move along. Nothing to see here ( Read more... )

eh heh heh... There are days when I just shouldn't be allowed near a keyboard, you know? I got it all out of my system here rather than taking it out on hapless writers, though that probably doesn't justify my vitriol. Ugh.

I am SO glad I am not writing any Gluhen fanfiction...lol, since first thing I would write is the one about Omi and his multiply personality disorder....for some reason he was pissing me off, firstly, because for the half of the show I thought Sena was also Omi....mwahahahahaha...so yeah...*hides ( ... )

See, the Omi multiple personality disorder thing can be done right, and I've got at least a couple of fics on the Glowing Cross archive where it is. What bugs me more is when it's used very casually and goes unexplained, as if everyone should know that *obviously* Omi's got more than one person living in his head. That's not characterization to me; that's just plain sloppy ( ... )

Ohhhhhhhh...my dear! You haven't watched Full Metal Alchemist - that's a heaven for AngstSlut and PlotWhore....and that part that yaoi fandom got tight hold on it right now...although there are no real pairings in the show as of today. You have to ran and get your hands on it, I can assure you, you'll forget of Gluhen's existence for a while...;-)

Honestly, I predict it to be the most cosplayed anime this year...

I'm waiting until FMA has finished its run completely before I pick it up. I can only obsess over so many anime at a time, and I already know I'll be obsessing over that one. Right now my fangirl obsessiveness is taken up mostly with Gluhen, though D.N.Angel is trying to sneak in there and make me either write fanfiction or make AMVs for it. I am resisting valiantly for the moment, but it's only a matter of time.

Ah well. Maybe I can get Ben to cosplay Dark. Though where to get a pair of full-sized black feathered wings... yikes. Right about now I really wish I actually *looked* like any of the characters in D.N. Angel enough to cosplay. Not that I really need to make *another* costume this year...

*sighs*

I've only managed to watch half of the first ep that you sent me... Dork got ahold of hte computer and all of a sudden things all over the place are broken, skipping, or just plain deleted.

At this rate, I'm never going to get that Kyou fic written for you.

Gah! *smites Dork* You should only need the most recent divx codec (www.divx.com) installed in your friendly Windows Media Player to get it to play, but that might be easier said than done. *hugs* Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

I'll leave the fried chicken out for Ken.

I went overboard on the rant. I think I was trying for humorous and got vitriol instead. *shakes head* Impatient hubby hovering over my shoulder while I finished typing it didn't help, but I probably should have held back. Too late. Ah well. Hopefully I haven't scared everyone away yet.

Well, not any more than usual, I mean.

Wow. The rage. o_o; I do agree with most of what you said though I'm willing to cut people slack on the Lakers thing if only because until they released the Yami subs over here there were like ten different spellings of Saagatanus (i.e. Sagadalius and other such). >_>; It's annoying, yes especially when you can go to site on the internet and find corrections for this but I find it somewhat less aggravating than some of the others. And as for number one, while I'm not a fan of that convention, if it's done well and the writing makes it plausible enough, I'll cut the writer a bit of slack there, too. The rampant mis-characterization (is that even a word?) though really gets my goat. I mean, anyone watching Gluhen should be able to see that the boys have gone through some massive changes. >_>; I don't see why this is so hard to get. (Of course this would be my pet peeve).

I'd originally meant for it to be more light-hearted, but got rushed at the end by a hungry husband wanting dinner and my own impatience to post it before I lost the guts to do it. Probably would have been better off deleting it all; you got a small taste of what my ranting was like yesterday, and I was probably just not a very nice or very rational person at all the whole day. *sigh ( ... )
