We went to the vet this afternoon because Melody was having a lot of trouble walking and looked like she was breathing heavily. They took X-rays. Turns out she'd just over-exerted herself and her lung function was much better than two days ago. The pneumonia had cleared up nicely

Well, damn. I'm sorry. But you know better than anyone else that there are no better hands for her to be in. I'm glad she's with you, someone who loves & dotes upon her, and will have the mercy and compassion to end her suffering. Bless you.

Dr. House, Jessica, Annie, Sue, Carissa, and Dr. Gray are the best people in the world. Even on vacation, Dr. House and Jessica have been Facebooking me about our Mei-Mei.

I keep telling myself we afforded her six month that were healthier and happier than ever. After her amputation, she acted like a dog many years younger than she is. And that was good. But you're never going to beat osteosarcoma. The fucker.
