This is Truth, and about four months ago, Kara gave me the password to this journal.
Kara Circle died this morning, and I'm sorry to have to tell you this way. Kathy called me to let me know that she was gone and to ask me to please let everyone know. She was with someone at the hospital and was neither alone nor in pain and it was over before they could do more than call her sister and let her know that she was finally dying.
Emily, Kathy mentioned you in particular as someone Kara talked about and wanted to be contacted. I'm sorry.
There will be no funeral, by request. Kara will be cremated and illegally spread on Lake Superior - also by request and I'd ask you not to share that tidbit, please.
As far as I know, there is no want for sympathy cards from her family and I did not really feel like pressing her sister for details at this time. This is all the information I have.
This is a shitty, shitty way to let people know how someone has died, and I'm sorry, really sorry, to have to spread the word this way.
