I experienced some "personal growth" this weekend with regards to racism.

Both the guy I am dating and his best friend are decidedly not fans of black folks. I am intrigued by this, as I have my own inner struggles with overcoming my own crap. We had a long discussion, and I kept asking questions trying to get to the root of their dislike. What

I've gone to answer this a few times but it never comes out the way I want. Truly, admiting you are racist in any shape or form is not easy. I have my own biases towards certain races but really try hard not to let that shape the way I treat them in the end. The rational (we are all human beings with different cultures and beliefs that make the world beautiful, interesting and grand) vs the irrational (I dislike x race because of the way they do "fill in the blank") is a tough thing to get past, I know I'm not always successful at it but I do keep trying...
