Coat Check

He sat alone at the bar.  She sidled up beside him.

“Hey fly-boy, you single?”

He grunted.

“Is there a coat check?”

He was drunk, but he wasn’t that drunk.  She didn’t have a coat.

“I have no idea. I didn’t have anything to do with planning this little soiree.”

“Certainly there’s a ready room on this relic.”

He sobered for a moment.  It didn’t last long.

“I’m the admiral.  I have a ready room.”

“Let’s go.” She stood, pulling him up with her.

“Where?”

“To your ready room.”

“For what?”

“The horizontal mambo.  Rumor has it you can dance.”
