Ah, a day at the carnival! I guess that means we're to take "Tunnel of Love" literally :)

Is Heidi a secret Paire shipper? She ends the press conference early, takes the kids off Claire's hands and tells her to take it easy, practically pushes Peter and Claire together for the day, and then slyly suggests that Peter might have to drive Claire home! Love her *lol*

I also like how you have Peter repeat the line "That's what uncles are for," with all it's intended meanings :)

Oh, this a great beginning! Your writing really flows, I love it. And, because I'm a geek about these kinds of things, I really liked how you wrote Heidi approaching the reporters, with one hand on Nathan's arm and the other 'palm outward' to the reporters. And loved the imagery of the sun shimmering off of Claire's hair. Great stuff. :)

You've really captured the playfulness in Peter's and Claire's relationship. I bet anything that she'll get him to do face painting. Awww. And I feel like the "taking the leap is always fun" is just so true of their relationship. *happysigh*

Can't wair for more. :D
