regarding flowers blooming....kat69mJune 10 2003, 05:12:30 UTC
Hello there my friend, I am very glad you stopped by ....
To answer your question about enjoying the early blooms, I have been soaking up the scents and colors after a very, very long bleak, cold winter without the vibrant hues of spring and summer. Winter white, brown, pee yellow and shoveling snow is not my idea of fun.
I have been busy coloring my world transplanting purple Lilacs, daylilies, daffodils, crocus, Iris, bacehlor buttons. Also, I stopped at the local greenhouse and brought several differnt kinds of flowers, Marigolds, Moon drops ( has trumpet flowers with several shades of purple ), Waving Petunias in deep purple and Fushia pink.
Also the song birds I feed sunflower seeds have planted sunflowers for me too, by dropping seeds here and there. I am really looking forward to the sunny faces of a few sunflowers waving in the summer breezes.

:) it sure sounds like you've been busy .... i'm afraid my own palette is still limited to oil-black right now but i'm looking forward to the first chance to re-inject colour into the garden.... and yep... pee yellow did make me smile ;))) take care princess *hugggs*
You are welcome... people really need to slow down and enjoy lifekat69mJune 12 2003, 04:46:05 UTC
I really think if people took more time to " stop and smell the flowers " there would be less road rage and giving other drivers the New York State bird hand signals... LOL I don't swear, not even in sign language, you won't ever see me flying the New York State Bird at any of the dumb stunts other drivers pull on the roads.
Reading your post made me think of my time spent at Tom(Greymeowser) and Katies, the surroundings there are so beautiful, you can't help but relax and take it all in,,,that was my time out and has made life and it's little trials easier to deal with,,,I've even given up smoking,,,,you have a wonderful day too,,,
Congratulations on giving up smoking...kat69mJune 12 2003, 04:49:10 UTC
Oh, that is wonderful news that you gave up smoking... now you can really breath in the wonderful scents of Lilacs and honeysuckle....
People really need some down time to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature, a chance to renew yourself so you are ready to face whatever happens tomorrow.
Enjoying a sunrise, a walk past lilacs in bloom, the scent of catnip in the air, are just some of the simple pleasures to enjoy if you take time out of hectic schedules to enjoy nature.
