Re: D and E ... two CD'sayoubJune 16 2003, 08:31:52 UTC
Try doing into Device Manager, and setting the CD on D to G, and see if 98 picks up the D drive again. Also, make sure the partition still exists using Fdisk...
Re: D and E ... two CD'skat69mJune 16 2003, 08:54:28 UTC
Ok.. trying to change the drive letter of the second CD ... and maybe that is the problem... no drivers were loaded for the faster CD that was just put into this computer... and so the new CRW-1622 cd burner and the partition D drive are both vying for Drive D
And it looks like it won't met me change the drive letter on the new CD burner that was installed at the same time as the power supply.... so... if I delete that device would that fix my problem?
hmmm.. really.. scary... I enjoying messing around with computers...kat69mJune 17 2003, 05:20:56 UTC
So, I don't think of it as scary stuff... it is just stuff I don't know yet and that I am working on learning " hands on " with a little help from computer wizzards that do know their stuff when it comes to computers .....
Thanks to Knightsdawn I am working on this computer problem ... hopefully I will be able to solve it soon...
I don't throw computers out windows... besides my sunflowers are right therekat69mJune 17 2003, 05:15:46 UTC
Tossing the computer out the window is not an option... for one, computers don't like being outside, and my sunflowers are right under the windows here... and I kind of like having the smiling faces of sunflowers peeking in the windows at me .....
Thank you for you helpful advice Tony .... have a good day ...

and the other CD is now drive E
and the LS120 external is now drive F and it was G
and the first CD used to be Drive E with the second CD used to be Drive F
So, the 2 CD's dropped done one Drive letter and so did the LS120 external when the partitioned D drive disappeared
