People talk about getting in touch with their 'inner child'.

Mine took over and is walking around in my skin. I think it would be kinda nice to get in touch with my 'inner adult'

My inner child regularly comes over to have ice cream for dinner . . . which, in an interesting twist, is one of the benefits of being an adult.
