I live...

I don't have much to share. Work's been crazy and exhausting and RL has been utterly un-noteworthy (except for a few new jewelry-making supplies I managed to lay hands on that I'll be making use of soon). Sorry that I've been entirely silent and not keeping up on people's journals. I'll try to do better. Hope everyone's okay and having a sane ( Read more... )

So glad you could drop into LJ. Yay! Not that I am doing much better than you about posting. LOL!

I had no idea a gluten-free diet would have such dramatic effects on non-digestive systems. WOW! What awesome results. And great motivation. People often ask me how I can stand to avoid sweets and simple sugars. Um, not having the hypoglycemia I isuffered with for 15 years is excellent motivation. :).

And congrats on the weight loss! Stupendous!

You and I are both going job hunting. For me the issue is my crazy long 14 hour days. It doesn't seem like working only three of them would be so bad, but it takes me 3 days to fully recover.

Good luck to you and to me!

It does make sense about a gluten allergy affecting the whole body. I have pollen allergies in spite of two rounds of desensitization shots, and when they hit, sometimes the symptoms are mild, and sometimes I feel like I have the flu.

Living in the Nevada desert, which gets about 4 inches of rain a year, so very little grows was great for me!

also, something I think you'll appreciate. I confused the heck out of a coworker (since I'm generally seen as straightlaced and boring) when I expressed complete approval for the fact that she and her husband were happily involved with another couple because, done right, such relationships are the most stable and resilient you'll ever find. Another coworker took me aside later and started asking all these questions about the poly lifestyle and he seemed downright relieved when I explained it to him in such a way as to make clear that him and his wife aren't deviant for wanting someone else to share the love

Glad to bear you're doing better over all.

I'm doing well. Work has been insanely busy, which is good and bad. Good for the economy, bad because I barely have time to breath. ;)
