Entities in space and time

Even though I have an exciting summer to look forward to, packing up all of the things in my room seems to invoke nostalgia and sentimentality in my mind. During second semester my room was a happy place--papers were written and pizza was eaten among the Diet Cokes and tacky carpets. i really like that way of putting it -- that even though it will still be most of the same people, it won't be exactly the same ever again.

i was trying to think of a good example of this, and this is the best i could come up with: i think this is really one of the reasons i like theater so much, both at the level of a single performance and at the level of an entire show. yes, a show may involve a lot of the same people as the last show (especially with fwop), but you're never going to have the same experience from one show to the next. and on a single performance level, this is exactly why i love live theater so much. the show will never be performed exactly the same way ever again. it will be similar the next night and the night after that, but it will never be exactly the same, and that's what makes it so special.
