I guess that most of you are writers, artists, and so on. Do you sometimes feel that what you do, what you create does not really belong to you? O.O ( Read more... )

Writers often times have hidden observers or "muses" that play out the stories for them and create a sense of detachment from our work. On an entirely different level, a writer's work is completely autobiographical. The answer? There is no answer.

I completely understand what you're talking about. In everyday life, I'm not a serious person; I take everything as a joke and have been told on numerous accounts that I need to "get serious". But, when you look at my work, it tends to veer toward the dramatic and emotional side of fiction. When I write, all the words and emotions just pour out of me and sometimes, I can't stop. It's like there's no filter between me and my muse. It feels as if I'm possessed to write it. I think it's a sign that you are where you're meant to be; in body and spirit. At that exact moment, everything is alligned and... perfect. New Age religion fanatics would liken this to being "in touch" with another realm. Native Americans would say that you are in touch with your True Spirit. I'll just call it creative flow ( ... )

Heh heh. It takes a lot more than honest contemplations to scare me. Believe it or not, I actually understand your "mumbo jumbo" perfectly. There was a time when I went to therapy to try and understand exactly what you rationalized so simply: why parts of myself act and feel differently than others. I was hard-pressed to explain to my therapist exactly what I meant. The reaction I got was, "...Are you SURE you don't need medication, Destiny?" lol Honestly, I think it's good to be like you and I. We can understand a lot more things the way we are now than if we had just one "personality" to deal with. Well, not personality per se, but fragmented pieces of several different personalities; a mosaic of individuality ( ... )

Sorry for the delayed reply. I also enjoy talking to you too. If you can understand my craziness then that means......we're friends, right? ^-^ Don't worry, your thoughts may be in disarray but you are very capable at writing your thoughts in text so that they're understandable.

So how are you doing?

Yeah... Yeah, I think it does make us friends. That's pretty neat that you're able to understand my ramblings. Whenever somebody else I know tries to read something I write in an e-mail, a lot "...?!" is said. lol ( ... )
