I've been downloading everything because we don't have a cable package and NBC won't let you livestream unless you're a registered cable user. They are dicks!!!!!
So I've been watching some CTV and Euro Sport downloads. It's interesting because their commentary is quite different than NBC's. Also, they almost always cut out the American gymnasts. LOL. They only showed all three routines from vault and beam, but only showed two on bars and one on floor. And they were the gold winners!?
Ughhhh. Like, I know that a lot of the reasons NBC does things the way it does is money, but I guess I feel like they could try harder to make money AND . . . be nicer, I guess, LOL. I did hear that they showed the Phelps/Lochte race on the website for everyone, but I'm not sure how you would know that ahead of time.
Oh, well, that's disappointing! I mean, I really liked the Canadian broadcasts in the past because I think it gives you a broader perspective than the American broadcast does, but you should show the gold medal winners! Especially since the Americans were favorites going in. The NBC livestreams are interesting because it's different commentary than the tv broadcast, including a lot of British commentators, which seems kind of weird to me, but not in a bad way.
Thanks! Apparently no one else feels that way, LOL. (Not serious! I know people are busy/not around/not into the Olympics or baseball. But my entry was feeling pretty lonely. :P)
I'm not as much into the Olympics this time around either. I'm not sure if it's because I'm working full time or what. It's making me a bit sad, actually!
Yeah, I want to watch on the tv, too. :( NBC does that, too, switching sports! Since the primetime is all on tape delay, they'll make you watch all night to see all of some events!
They DO play different stuff on different channels, though I haven't watched that many of them.
