Since this pattern provides me with an unexpected opportunity to learn more about fellow citizens, and since I have well and thoroughly learned the hazards of a perceived imbalance in social exchanges lately, here is my required response ( Read more... )

Cloud~! ♥♥♥♥♥ I'm sorry I've been so busy at work lately...

oh, questions, right.

1. I'm not sure exactly where I'm from, though I spent much of my life in the Shinra laboratories in Midgar. Midgar was the largest city on -- well, we called our world 'The Planet,' which I assume is not terribly useful in terms of the intrastellar navigation that your world offers. But as we were just learning the basics by the time I died the first time, a more precise name hadn't really come up...

2. Shelke says that Lucrecia remembers my birth being on November 2! Kiros informs me that this makes me a Scorpio. I would think my own tendency to be wary, venomous, and to skewer things when provoked would have more to do with providing kinship with scorpions than a birth date would, but customs are customs....

3. I -- er -- I hadn't really, but -- do you dislike my hair?

4. Teasing you, of course! ♥ Teasing you or tickling you and watching you blush and squirm and giggle. Anything that lets me see you smile, really.

5. I love you too. Always.

Likewise.

1. Thank you.
2. Well, that works then. We'll have to have a party, won't we?
3. I'm just kidding.
4. ...sometimes I want to hide in a dark corner and sulk. (Though that was terribly cute.)
5. I'm glad.

[ooc; It's okay, I disappeared for a month in Texas, after all >_>; Also. Good. You?]

1. You're welcome. ♥

2. ...a party? Oh gods-- ...um. If it would please you, then yes. Yes, of course.

...Please, no prices to be paid for it?

3. Oh. Oh, that's a relief. Good.

4. Deny it as much as you like, you're very kittenish when you get ruffled. :3 I really should invest in more catnip... and some fluffy dangle toys. Good for kitten-luring and for tickling with; benefits all around!

5. Me too.

[ooc: *hugs* I hope Texas was nice! On my end it's been way too much running around and stress, but good, especially when I get a chance to sleep... Oh yeah, Seph's suddenly triplicated party paranoia in #2? He got hit by Yuuko's puu curse! He wasn't expecting something like that at ALL, and he took it verrrrry badly. So the word party makes him flinch more than usual. On the other hand, mun would be *delighted* at a birthday party and the opportunity to prove to him that not ALL parties are going to have unexpected and frightening personal consequenses that give him flashbacks to Jenova's fondness for mind manipulation... ^_~]

1. Viewing me from a... different view, I guess, what do you think of me?
2. ...Do you like flowers?
3. Can I help set up your party? ^^
4. What's your favorite thing to do?
5. Are you fond of music?

(Lmao, my questions suck, forgive me please. The last two were more so Aerith would know what to get Sephiroth more than anything.)

1. I think you were and are much too kind for a world run by the former President Shinra, and I'm relieved that neither of us must still endure his concept of the world's natural power pyramid. I'm glad that you are here, and safe, and happy.

2. Yes, I suppose so. I am more fond of growing flowers with roots than cut flowers that wither and die; the latter seems such a waste, and I have yet to understand how anyone could possibly consider the gift of savaged beauty doomed to wither and fade in a few agonizing and fruitless days a gesture of romance. Human customs are ...strange.

3. If you would like to, yes. ...just please no puu-speaking curses?4. My very favorite thing to do is likely not to be discussed in mixed company, but I assume it is also the favorite thing of any sexually functional individual in a loving relationship. :3 My favorite thing to do in mixed company... well, that's related; I quite enjoy teasing Cloud under all sorts of circumstances ( ... )

1. Thank you! ^^ I think Ville de Lumiere was the fresh of breath air we all needed. This can't be The Promised Land can it? I mean, nothing calls me to this planet and as far as I know, there are no other cetra here, but it gives us everything the Promised Land would. Happiness, freedom, and most of all, peace. It's true that Ville de Lumiere has some exceptions, but then, where would we be in a perfect world?

2. Humans are strange indeed~ ^^ I much prefer growing flowers myself. All the flowers in my house are definately potted! ..What's your favorite kind? If you don't mind me asking another question.

3. I'd love to! ...Can I hear you just once, at least? ♥

4. Isn't that a given. And teasing Cloud? Haha! Adorable!

5. Is there a... kind of music you enjoy listening to, though?

Sometimes it's so hard to believe how you were before.

(All three strikes so very hackable.)

1. I'd rather hoped the Promised Land would come with fewer murders and MUCH less paperwork...

2. I'm not sure if I have enough experience with them to identify a particular favorite. While we were in Wutai, though, there was this one green plant that hid its flowers through the day and unfurled these extraordinary delicate white star-flowers at night; it smelled of incense, almost, or else it was an ingredient in their incense, and sometimes in their tea, and it reminds me of night... [ooc: he's trying to describe jasmine!]

3. ...only when there are no witnesses.

4. I can't seem to help it. He's so cute when he blushes. And his hair is so fluffy to pet. And his wing is so soft and velvety. And then sometimes he gets all fierce when I tease him too much and that's an entirely different challenge... ♥

5. ...Not marching cadences? And not parade marches. Other than that, I'm not particular.

I feel as though I was never allowed to have a self before, that I was expected to be either Hojo's experiment or Shinra's general or Mother's ( ... )

I am certain that I will regret participating in this once Abel's little sister discovers my foolishness >< However.....I will do it anyway.

1. Do you prefer your current life or the one that you led previously? Feel free to decline to answer if I am being too inquisitive.

2. Is there anyone from your old life that you miss?

3. Have you discovered something new about yourself here in this place?

4. Have you ever wished, even fleetingly, to exchange your lifes-course for someone else's? To see from another perspective?

5. If you could leave this place, would you?

1. This one, by far.

2. Fortunately, the only ones I would miss from my own world are here with me.

3. Dozens of things. Most notably that free will is a terrifying responsibility. Although most spectacularly that ovens are not designed to withstand fire spells, all expectations of their function to the contrary...

4. I try not to think about it too much. I would want it too badly if I did.

5. No, never.

--Well. Never as long as Cloud is here. If Cloud were to leave, I would follow him.

But with him here, and with Zack, and after meeting Father Abel and yourself and a world full of people who are not like my father and President Shinra, I would be most unwilling to leave.

1. I ... just wish the rest of my agents were here. I worry for them.

2. I can only hope for the rest. And pray.

3. *curious* Why would you attempt a ...fire spell (whatever that is?) on an oven?

4. If you do not mind my inquiring, why? I do not want to be anyone else, though I would choose to have my health if I could.

5. I understand. Were Abel to disappear as Hugue has done, I fear I should lose my sanity.

[ooc: Strikes unhackable except to Sephiroth]

I'm sorry that you're missing so many people from your world. I'd never actually thought of being able to number one's friends on one hand as a benefit, but when you and a handful of others are taken to a new world, it does give a person fewer others to miss ( ... )

Ehe. I don’t really get this game, but I do have one question for you, if you are that General Sephiroth guy I’ve been told of.

Erm, how good are you at dealing with mentally unsound psychopaths, who have the capacity and the intent to destroy anything and everything in their way in order to get what they want…even if what they want doesn’t exist?

katayoku_tenshi October 30 2007, 23:58:01 UTC
Oh, hell, not ANOTHER one.

...ahem. I'm sorry about that. The short form would be "quite good at dealing with them under certain circumstances."

The "certain circumstances" usually involve some variation on the concept of "assuming that you don't particularly want to keep them alive or regain their sanity," however.

It was, I admit, easier to do when I could just kill them. Now that I need to rip their souls from the hulls of their dying flesh at a precise moment in order to encapsulate it into a shell of crystallized life-energy in order to keep them entrapped enough to prevent them regenerating, it's a bit trickier.

And they don't tend to come out the other side in anything resembling a friendly, cooperative, and communicative state. So you have to find somewhere secure to stash their summon materia. Or, in my case, I tend to keep them in my sock drawer, because Yuffie is much too talented with safes but my sock drawer ranks high on the 'who cares and oh by the way eww' factor...

What were you thinking of?

...rip their souls from the hulls of their dying flesh?

That's scary...I like it...mmm...it might work. Oh, wait...I'm not sure I want him out of comission exactly, maybe have his sense knocked back into him. I'd do it myself, but I can't guarantee anyone's safety...or rather, that I could do it all on my own.

Hmmm....how to put it, are you familiar with a man named Kahran Ramsus...or formally known as Project 0808191 Ramses? This story could get a little complicated.

I've only encountered him as a victim of arson threats from a hotheaded and thoughtless imbecile who is no longer in my employ.

Given the whole "project" and ID number as a part of his alternative method of identification, his story sounds as though it may bear certain depressing similarities to my own. I was also an experimental test subject, designed as a living weapon, and I also went mad and turned on my makers as a fairly direct consequense. Trust me when I say I'll believe nearly any story of horror at the hands of a mad scientist in the employ of a power-hungry military. What are his particular details...?
