What's the book?

BTW, I can't remember if I've asked you this: Have you read Red Seas Under Red Skies, the sequel to The Lies of Locke Lamora?

Yes - I read it almost immediately after finishing "Lies", and liked it. Have you finished it? I don't want to give you my reaction until you're done, because I don't want to alter your perceptions.

The book is called "Daughter of the Forest" by Juliet Marillier. It's loosely based on an old folktale and set (again, loosely, because it's all magical) in ancient Ireland. Apparently it was her debut novel, and while it's a very strong debut there are a few beginner's mistakes that stand out. Nothing horrible, because it's still a really engrossing book.

I'm about 50 pages away from finishing it. I'm enjoying it, but not as much as Lies. The last 2/3 have kind of dragged, and I'm baffled as to how the hell he's going to resolve everything in the remaining time. Unless it's some sort of cliffhanger.

Anyway, I'll let you know my thoughts when I finish it, probably within the next day.
