I am talking to Sweetback, who was very gentle and supportive about my crappy day. I like what Yann Martel wrote in Life of Pi about agnostics. "They get in my craw because claiming uncertanity as a relgion is like claiming immobility as a means of transportation." I think I've misquoted, but I love it all the same.

Apparently, the man (henceforth known as Sweetback) told me randomly he wants to make me breakfast in bed since he read my last entry (as he's on IM now). Being cyberpunk can be good for lovely things, apparently. ;o) Yay. Sweetback is also, and fairly soon, getting an apartment. Rock for him. Happy 4th, dubious though it may be. Dubya is still here, but I retain the fervent hope that there is a better president out there. I don't care if a moderate Republican morphes out of the woodwork and drips slime all the way to the White House, at least he'd be better then Bushie. My dog is snoring. I read Ahab's Wife this am.
