I went out in the woods last Sunday and now I'm coming down with poison ivy all along my calves. It's just not summer for me until I have a case of poison ivy. Yay! Summer has officially begun. So, when does summer officially begin for you? First trip to the beach? First visit to the ice cream store? First sunburn? Or first case of poison ivy?

Yes! But at this rate, with the temps in the 60's and the constant rain, my first trip to the beach will be in 2004.

Oh, no, sorry about the poison ivy! Summer begins on Wednesday for me. G and I are heading down to Santa Fe to meet my sister's family, who are passing through, for a raft trip. Wish me luck and if I take an unscheduled dip in the Rio Grande, hope that I don't make it to shore somewhere in Texas!

First sunburn. Which means summer started for me in Marin County on May 18. *g*

First time I break out in a sweat just walking to my car, getting in it and getting the A/C going. Thankfully, the only good thing the rain has brought with it is cooler weather (though it *is* very humid), so my summer hasn't officially begun yet.
