How I discovered Arashi...
Considering how getting into the Arashi fandom made me get a livejournal account (and finally start blogging), I thought I should write a bit about my "Arashi Story" as I like to call it.
I'm a very recent Arashi fan. Like comparing to their own timeline- it's like I just debuted in Hawaii (a newborn)!! Lots of people say they were "Jun-baited" into this fandom. I, too did discover MatsuJun first, in "HanaDan". But I didn't like the drama (have only watched season 1 as of now) or him in it that much (don't throw rocks please ;P). I saw "Gokusen" afterwards, and fell completely in love with Sawada Shin! I kept on watching all of Jun's dramas after that. And being a jdrama fan, I discovered Nino's "Yowakutemo..." I liked the song "Guts!" but didn't think so much about it. I then watched "Yamada Taro" which has him and Sho in it. "Happiness" was the song that I really loved. By this time I'd reached "99.9 Criminal Lawyer" on my Jun drama spree. I also loved "Daylight" (this was probably my gateway song) a lot. I investigated and realized that not only were all those songs by the same artist- Arashi, but all the above three actors were in the group!! I was like... EHHH?!! So that's how I found them. Genuinely through their music, even though I was a fan of the individual members through their dramas (I'd watched "Bartender" and "Kagi" without knowing anything about Aiba and Ohno also), I found them as a group through their music. Has that happened to people? I'm sure my story isn't that unique. Just felt like sharing. What's your Arashi story? Let me know in the comments if you want to share.
