Ouch! I'm really sorry. I hope your hips feel better ASAP, an appointment with the convenient specialist conveniently opens up tomorrow and the visit turns up something easily fixable. (Hey, might as well hope for excellent things, right?)

I'm sorry that you're in pain! ~hugs~ Is there no other specialist who has an opening sooner? Because I really hate to think of you being in pain until late October. :(

Bless you ~ the practice I'm scheduled to meet with in late October is supposed to be the best in town, so I'm willing to wait. As long as the ibuprofen and naproxen and gin hold out.

*hugs you back*

Oh, lordy. I hope that 1) the pain calms down again soon, and 2) there is a cancellation next week so you can get in.

In the meantime, may I pour you an extra large gin and diet tonic?

I totally hear where you're coming from, since Brad is going through something similar regarding his back (and the extremely bulging disc in it). I know you're taking lots of anti-inflammatories, but would it be worth checking to see if your GP might be able to get you some muscle relaxers or painkillers in the meantime until you can get to the specialist? *offers gentle hugs and chocolate no matter what*

This. I have been having a lot of scoliosis-related hip and back pain recently, and Soma is saving me. I can't take it in the daytime -- too drowsy-making -- but at least I'm getting better sleep. Ask for some bigger guns in terms of relaxants and pain relievers while you're waiting.

And fingers crossed for a useful diagnosis.
