2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
All wrapped
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
White
4. Do you hang mistletoe?
Nope
5. When do you put your decorations up?
Ummm....well, we buy the tree shortly after Thanksgiving and then put it up maybe 2 weeks before Christmas
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
We don't have a specifically holiday dish in my family, but I guess it would just be the traditional beef roast Christmas Eve, brunch on Christmas, and lasagna for Christmas dinner....it's just all good
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child:
Finding my new bike that Santa had left me in third grade before my family woke up....Oh, and in second grade (?) I got a new bed, by waking up in it! My parents managed to move me out of the bed, take the old one out, put the new one in, and put me back to bed without me waking up...I was sooooo disoriented in the morning! The year I got my car was pretty good too....I practically tackled dad on the front lawn...Boy, I sound really greedy....I really do love the giving part though, we always listen to Christmas music while we open up presents
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
5th grade....no comments
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Yes, during dinner. I used to get the new Disney movie every year, but lately Mom has been theming it, like everybody gets a gift that is silver or something like that.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
With ornaments that we've collected throughout the years. It's so nice to look at each one and remember the meaning behind it. Plus it's fun to look at the Snoopy ornaments by dad has given my mom every year since they got engaged.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
It's nice and fun to look at, but I really hate my clothes being soaked when I get back inside.
12. Can you ice skate?
Fairly decently, yes. Sometimes it takes me a while to get going, but I'm pretty consistent. Can't do any triple toe loops or anything though.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
My bed is great...it's mine to keep and is in my apt now...I loved my Explorer, but everything that is given is always given with my likes in mind, and I love everything
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Family. I love spending time with them and having our little traditions. It killed me last year when I had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
I think we usually do cheesecake, but this year my mom wants me to make double dark chocolate fudge cake with brandy icing or something crazy like that....she found the recipe and it sounds interesting!
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Spending time with family, and going to the "midnight" service at my church on Christmas Eve.
17. What tops your tree?
A star. It used to be a star that my parents got the first year they were married, but we got a new one several years ago.
18. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving?
I would be lying if I said that I didn't like receiving, but giving is also great when you know you're giving someone something they'll like or use....I cannot wait for my friends and family to see what I'm giving them this year....even stuntdubble
19. What is your favorite Christmas song?
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Carol of the Bells, We Three Kings, O Come All Ye Faithful, 12 Days of Christmas, Here We Come A-Carolling....I love them all!
20. Candy Canes! yuck or yummy?
Yummy, but I especially love to feed them to Denali....he adores them!
21. Fave Christmas Movie?
Can't say that I have a favorite, but I love A Charlie Brown Christmas...Home Alone is pretty good too
