I had a paper due Monday afternoon; it was already half-done since the rough draft was due the week before. So of course I stayed up until about 4am reading a really great Star Wars fic (this was immediately after I stopped reading the awful one with the burning bits). The paper came out well, but I did not get any sleep. So when I got home at 8 Monday night I skipped dinner and went straight to bed. Slept for 10 hours straight, yay.
Halloween I dressed up in my Éowyn dress for about two hours and borrowed a wooden sword from my brother and we went trick-or-treating to about 5 houses. We got a lot of gum, mostly. He was a cell phone, an idea he came up with at 3:30 that afternoon and executed before dinner using a large piece of cardboard. We ran out of candy and ended up giving away most of the individually-wrapped junk food in the house. It was either that or soy sauce packets, tea bags, and cough drops. Must stop at a drug store soon and pick out some good half-price candy.
Today I made an unwise sartorial decision and took a linguistics test. I did not know the answer to the last question, having only a very vague idea of what the professor was talking about, as it was not mentioned in the book. However, I filled most of the blank space explaining that the theory could not possibly explain the above problem because the above problem had remained suspciously unexplained in the text. When a grammatically punctilious text book suddenly has large amounts of dangling prepositions in the examples, they must have a good reason. And then I went and had a Twix bar for lunch.
