Miserable hot sweltering mind-dissolving DC summer. If you've ever set foot in this ol' swamp, you know what I mean. The leaves are also falling from the trees early this year because of the draught -- such a tease. I'm so ready for fall. That sounds fascinating with the clothes. I'd love to do something like that. The Early Settlers' musuem here recently had a clothing and fabrics exhibition and it was just amazing. Particularly the flapper dressers from the 1920s. Although I'm constantly amazed at how small people used to be!

Working with the clothes was really wonderful. I catalogued one 1920s flapper dress that I just really, really *wanted* - it was all over sequins, beads, and silk. Fabulous. It was also one of the few dresses I worked with that I could fit into, too!
