Amazing Victorian Art (pic heavy)

 I ended up watching a documentary on the Victorians tonight (entirely accidentally as it happened) with some really interesting stuff in it, it was basically about art in Victorian society and it mentioned the artist Gustave Dore (should be an accent in there but dunno how to do them). Gustave D. is fantastic. He also illustrated Dante's Inferno - the drawings are spectacular. His dreamy realism really draws a person into his works, even when they're depicting terrible things, such as poverty and squalor.

Damn, they came out really small :( I found the Inferno illustrations when I was looking him up - thinking "wow how've I never seen his stuff?!" No probs, had to share them really :D
